Liftoff Closes $5M Series A Funding

liftoffLiftoff Inc., a Menlo Park, CA-based mobile app marketing and retargeting platform, closed a $5m Series A funding.

The round was led by Steve Anderson (Baseline Ventures), with participation from Michael Dearing (Harrison Metal) and existing seed investors Fred Warren (Sage Venture Partners), Shinya Akamine (Core Ventures Group), Tim Koogle (former CEO of Yahoo!) and Ilya Sukhar (Facebook).

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate its growth in CPA-optimized mobile user acquisition.

Led by Mark Ellis, CEO, Liftoff provides a mobile app marketing and retargeting platform that allows users to run app marketing campaigns leveraging a database of over 1.1 billion mobile profiles, enabling both Facebook-style targeting and lookalike targeting across the entire mobile RTB ecosystem. Campaigns are managed programmatically and optimized in real-time through the Liftoff Optimization Engine.
