Sweaty Betty, a London, United Kingdom-based premium activewear brand which aims to inspire women to find empowerment through fitness, received a strategic growth investment from Catterton, a U.S.-based consumer-focused private equity firm.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
The company intends to usr the funds to support growth and expansion in key markets, including the United States.
Co-founded by Tamara Hill-Norton and Simon Hill-Norton, Creative Director and Chief Executive Officer, respectively, who will continue to lead the company, Sweaty Betty is a women’s activewear brand with over 40 boutiques in the United Kingdom, including concessions in department stores Harrods and Selfridges and two boutiques in the United States.
