University of Oxford Isis Fund II Closes at over £2M

isis-innovation-logoIsis Innovation and Parkwalk Advisors announced that the University of Oxford Isis Fund II closed at over £2m.

Managed by Parkwalk Advisors, a UK technology-specialist EIS fund management firm, the new vehicle follows the University of Oxford Isis Fund I, which invested in:
– Brainomix, a stroke-diagnostics specialist
– Oxtex, a developer of a novel intelligent tissue expander
– Salunda, a manufacturer of a contactless sensor for condition monitoring and
– TheySay, automated sentiment analysis company.

Founded in 1987, Isis Innovation is the research and technology commercialization company responsible for creating spin-out companies based on academic research from the University of Oxford.

London-based independent investment management firm Parkwalk aims to launch the University of Oxford Isis Fund III in Q4 2015 or Q1 2016.
