Arborlight Raises $1.7M in Funding

michael forbis Arborlight, an Ann Arbor, Michigan-based integrator of LED components, optics, and embedded systems, raised $1.7m in funding.

The round was led by the Michigan Angel Fund (MAF).

The company intends to use the funds to further commercialization efforts for its LightWell product.

Led by Michael Forbis, CEO, Arborlight is an integrator of LED components, optics, and embedded systems to achieve complex illumination solutions in a wide variety of applications ranging from architectural and medical lighting to automotive displays and scientific apparatus. Its solution emulates daylight conditions by tracking the position of the sun, and matching color, intensity and directionality throughout the day, in real-time.
