ChowNow, a Los Angeles, CA-based branded online ordering and marketing platform for restaurants, raised $10m in funding.
The round was led by Upfront Ventures, with participation from Steadfast Venture Capital, Daher Capital, and Karlin Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate growth and launch new products. Following recent integrations with Apple Pay, Yelp, and Google, ChowNow plans to roll out a new catering product and several enhancements to its core offering in the coming months.
Led by CEO and Co-Founder Chris Webb, ChowNow provides an online ordering and marketing platform that allows restaurants to take orders from their website, Facebook page, and through branded iOS and Android apps. The company currently serves thousands of restaurants in the U.S. and Canada including chef-driven concepts, regional chains, independent restaurants, and the U.S. Navy.
In addition to the funding, Nick Kellermeyer, a former executive at GrubHub, and Arpan Jhaveri, a former senior leader at Yodle, as Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Product & Marketing, respectively, as well as Emily Neudorf, previously at Groupon, as Product and Content Marketing Manager.
