Milan, Italy-based venture incubator Digital Magics (AIM: DM) received a €2m equity investment from existing shareholder Tamburi Investment Partners (TIP).
The deal, which also includes an option to invest additional €500k, aims to promote further investments in startups/scaleups and develop “Open Innovation” and digitalization programs.
Following the transaction, Tamburi will own a 1,36% equity stake in Digital Magics.
Led by Enrico Gasperini, Digital Magics has 41 companies in its portfolio and owns 56Cube, an incubator dedicated to support startups in the South of Italy. It also operates the Digital Magics Angel Network, a network of private investors who invest in the startups along with the firm.
