Dream Payments, a Liberty Village, Toronto, Canada-based mobile payment platform, raised $6.0m in funding.
Backers included Blue Sky Capital, Real Ventures, and Rouge River Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to launch the business and roll out the solutions to merchants across North America.
Founded in July 2014 and led by Brent Ho-Young, CEO, Alex Walker, CFO, Anant Tailor, COO and Long Van, CTO, Dream Payments provides a platform that allows merchants of all sizes to use mobile point of sale (mPOS) terminals to accept all forms of payments including magstripe, EMV credit and debit cards, and Apple Pay.
Its mobile point of sale terminal works with existing iOS or Android smartphones, tablets or integrates with traditional point of sale systems. The solution also offers a comprehensive dashboard with sales and inventory reporting as well as analytics and customer insights.
The company is also opening up its Software Development Kit (SDK) to third party developers to extend and deliver value-added services to the Dream Payments’ ecosystem.
