Intechnica, a Manchester, UK-based digital company, secured a six-figure investment.
Backers included existing investors The North West Fund for Venture Capital, managed by Enterprise Ventures, and the Greater Manchester Investment Fund.
The company intends to use the funds to launch its latest product and target the US market.
Founded in 2007 by Jeremy Gidlow and Andy Still, Intechnica offers TrafficSpike, a performance testing tool, and TrafficDefender, which allows websites to continue generating revenue even when there is excess traffic, by placing visitors in an orderly queue.
The company serves major customers throughout the UK including Marks & Spencer, ASOS, Unilever and Network Rail,
Intechnica employs 53 staff.
