Kopjra Srl, a Bologna, Italy-based copyright monitoring startup, raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding.
Custodi di Successo made the investment and acquired a 10% stake in the company.
Led by CEO Tommaso Grotto, CTO Emanuele Casadio, CLO Pier Raffaele Catena, CCO Matteo Scapin and CFO Luca Trevisan, Kopjra is advancing a law enforcement tool that leverages a proprietary crawler and a database of unauthorized websites to monitor piracy, counterfeiting and defamation infringements on the web and on peer-to-peer networks.
Results can be analyzed with in-house automatic content recognition technologies and can be monitored over time.
The solution also offers social and geographical big data analytics for market surveys.
The company was accelerated within TIM #WCAP and EIT ICT Labs.
