Mojio, a Vancouver, BC, Canada-based open platform for connecting cars, closed an $8m Series A funding.
The round was by Telekom Capital with participation from Relay Ventures, BDC, and AOL co-founder Steve Case.
The company intends to use the funds to support US and international growth.
Founded in 2012 and led by Jay Giraud, CEO, Mojio is an open platform that allows developers to create apps that provide near real-time, contextual information to drivers and enterprises to keep them better informed on and off the road.
The platform currently has over 500 active developers producing solutions for automotive verticals.
