Moonfrog Labs, a Banglalore, India-based mobile gaming startup, raised $15m in Series A funding.
Backers included Tiger Global and existing investor Sequoia Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to hire developers (http://moonfroglabs.com/#!/Jobs) and to advance games in new genres, including action, strategy, and roleplaying.
Co-founded in 2013 by Dimpalkumar Maisuriya, Oliver Jones, Tanay Tayal, and Kumar Puspesh, Moonfrog Labs has developed Teen Patti Gold, an Indian version of Poker played with 3 cards, also known as Flash or Flush. Downloaded more than two million times, it is currently available on Android and iOS games.
