Tempered Networks, Inc., a Seattle, WA-based provider of secure connectivity for critical infrastructure and information, raised $15m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Ignition Partners with participation from IDG Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, John Connors, Managing Partner at Ignition Ventures, joined Tempered Networks’ Board of Directors.
The company, which has raised $22m to date, intends to use the funds to build sales, marketing, and engineering teams and expand its distribution channels.
Led by Jeff Hussey, Co-founder, President & CEO, Tempered Networks provides businesses who rely on critical infrastructure, industrial control systems (ICS), and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) with a virtual private overlay network architecture that orchestrates identity and trust management. Organizations can cloak their critical infrastructure devices, while communicating over secure channels.
The company has customers in the manufacturing, oil & gas, and utilities sectors.
