Accenture (NYSE:ACN) acquired Axia Limited, a Boston, Massachusetts-based strategy consulting services provider.
The acquisition aims to strengthen the capabilities of Accenture Strategy to allow clients to improve their competitiveness by delivering growth through strategic cost management and organizational agility.
The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Founded in 1999 by Bill Theofilou, CEO, Axia specializes in providing cross-functional strategies and implementation support for companies to become more competitive by addressing their growth and cost challenges concurrently.
The company has broad experience in a range of areas including growth, go-to-market models, operational excellence, performance management and M&A strategies.
It has established a significant client base in the life sciences, healthcare and consumer goods sectors. Now, as part of Accenture Strategy, Acxia’s expertise will be scaled over time and offered to a broader range of industry sectors globally.
