Chariot, a San Francisco, CA-based startup that offers 14-passenger vans to commute daily, raised $3m in funding.
Backers included SoftTech VC, Maven Ventures, and Haystack.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to hire new people and expand operations.
Led by Ali Vahabzadeh, chief executive officer, Chariot crowdsources and operates transit routes.Ā Customers can live-track chariots moving throughout the city and purchase passes on its iOS app and mobile website.
Currently available in San Francisco, the company was incubated within Y Combinator.
