Onfleet, a San Francisco, California-based provider of local delivery management solutions, raised $2m in funding.
Backers included CrunchFund, Winklevoss Capital, Playfair Capital, Stanford-StartX Fund, Lee Linden, Semil Shah, Fadi Ghandour and Andy Rachleff.
The company intends to use the funds to enhance the platform and grow its engineering and support teams (https://onfleet.com/careers).
Founded by CEO Khaled Naim, VP of Engineering Mikel Cármenes Cavia and CTO David Vetrano, Onfleet provides a SaaS-based platform with several tools to streamline delivery management via smartphone apps and a web dashboard. Among others, it features SMS notification tools, the ability to track the delivery driver in real-time, analytics and APIs.
Launched in beta over one year ago, the solution has already powered hundreds of thousands of deliveries in 26 countries around the world. Customers include Farm Hill, Methodology, Lish Food, Top Shelf, Hello Fresh, Meadow, Demand Food, BoxBee, Canary, etc.
