Niara, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based stealth security analytics company, closed a $20m Series B financing.
The round, which brought the total amount raised by the company to $29.4m, was led by Venrock, with participation from New Enterprise Associates and Index Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate product development and scale marketing and sales efforts.
Led by Sriram Ramachandran, co-founder and CEO, Niara delivers contextually relevant security analytics by combining data from disparate sources to discover compromised users, provide insight into malicious insiders, enable advanced threat hunting efforts, and prioritize alerts for rapid investigation.
In conjunction with the funding, Doug Dooley, investor at Venrock, joined the company’s board of directors, which already included Series A investors Krishna Kolluri, general partner, NEA, and Danny Rimer, partner, Index Ventures, as well as Aruba Networks president and CEO Dominic Orr.
