TouchBistro, a New York and Toronto, Canada-based iPad point of sale (POS) solution designed for restaurants, closed $6m in Series A funding.
Backers included Kensington Capital Partners, Relay Ventures, Difference Capital, and a new strategic investor JUST EAT, among others. The company has now raised approximately $12m in total.
The company intends to use the funds to continue building out the functionality of its mobile POS solution, with a focus on mobile wallets, integrate with apps and extend back- and front-of-house functionalities required by food and beverage services to improve efficiency.
Led by Alex Barrotti, CEO, TouchBistro is a provider of innovative iPad mobile point-of-sale (POS) solutions for the food and drink industry, including full service restaurants, quick service restaurants, food trucks, coffee shops, bars, universities, and hospitality venues.
