Cleeng, an Amsterdam, Netherlands-based specialist in video e-commerce for sports and entertainment companies, raised €1.1m in Series A funding.
The round, which brought total venture funding to €1.5m to date, was led by Pascal Cagni (GM and VP Apple EMEIA 2000-2012).
The company intends to use the funds for international growth, principally in the US, and further product development.
Led by Gilles Domartini, founder and CEO, Cleeng provides a video e-commerce platform for LIVE concerts, sporting events, conferences for brands and celebrities. The startup has recorded more than 500,000 user accounts in 172 countries. Its solution is used by leading online video platforms like Brightcove, Livestream, Ustream, Kaltura, Globecast, and Ooyala to deploy video e-commerce solution available.
