Directly Raises $10M in Series A Funding

directlyDirectly, a San Francisco, CA-based maker of on-demand business apps, raised $10m in series A funding.

The round was led by Costanoa Venture Capital with participation from existing investors True Ventures, CrunchFund and Toba Capital. In conjunction with the funding, founder and managing partner Greg Sands will join the Directly board.

The company intends to use the funds to hire engineers to accelerate product development and marketing, sales and customer service people.

Co-founded by Antony Brydon and Jeff Patterson, Directly provides customer service apps that allow fast-growing companies to scale support, improve customer experience and engage their expert users. Companies give the apps to their expert users. Directly’s routing engine sends customer questions and helpdesk tickets to expert users on their smartphones, and then rewards them for quick resolution.
Directly integrates with Zendesk, Desk and Salesforce and other helpdesk software.

Adopters include Pinterest, Republic Wireless, Airbnb, Udemy.
