Kobojo, a Paris, France-based independent games developer, raised $7m in funding.
The round was led by Oxford Capital with participation from the Scottish Investment Bank and Endeavour Vision.
The company intends to use the funds for the roll-out of its new role-playing game, Zodiac, and the development of further games for the global market.
Led by Mario Rizzo, Chief Executive Officer, Kobojo develops online role-playing games which are designed for touch devices. The company specializes in developing hand-drawn 2D graphics multiplayer games. Titles include Mutants: Genetic Gladiators.
The company also operates a development studio in Dundee, Scotland and also has teams based in Kyoto and Tokyo.
