Wallflower Raises $1.5M in Seed Funding

wallflowerWallflower, a Charleston, MA-based developer of connected solutions for cooking and other home appliances, raised $1.5m in seed funding.

The backers were not disclosed.

The company, which has raised over $2m in funding, intends to use the funds to grow its engineering team and expand trials with consumers and insurance providers in the United States.

Led by Victor Jablokov, Founder and CEO, Wallflower a provider of a suite of connected products and services focused on improving safety and control for everyday home appliances. Their first product targets gas and electric stoves. The Wallflower Ember™ connects to any gas or electric cooking appliance, giving it Internet connectivity and linking it to a homeowner’s mobile device.
The company partners with several major insurance providers and planning to launch its first products in late 2015.
