Adzuna.co.uk, a London, UK-based job search engine, raised more than £1.6m through equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube.
More than 430 ‘crowd’ investors have backed the campaign so far. The largest single investment was more
than £200k with the average size being £3,765.
The company, which is also backed by venture capital firms Index Ventures, The Accelerator Group and Passion Capital, intends to use the funds to grow internationally and invest in technology.
Launched in July 2011 by Doug Monro, Adzuna operates a job search engine that brings together all the vacancies in one place. In addition to listing over 1m UK vacancies, the sites has developed ‘ValueMyCV’ technology that allows British jobseekers to understand what they are worth in today’s job market and matche them better with companies.
