Auth0, a Bellevue, Wash.–based universal identity platform, raised a total of $9.3M in funding.
A Series A funding of $6.875M added to the $2.4M raised in a convertible seed round last September.
The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from K9 Ventures and others.
The company will use the funds to support subscriber growth specifically focusing on expanding marketing and customer success staff and developing additional product features.
Led by CEO Jon Gelsey, Auth0 provides a SaaS platform for authentication and authorization that allows developers to implement complex identity solutions for their web, mobile and internal applications, APIs and IoT devices. It enables developers and IT staff to set up social and enterprise identity provider registration and login, username and password, single-sign-on, multifactor authentication, etc.
Subscribers include more than 20,000 companies ranging in size from small startups to large enterprises in more than 150 countries around the world.
