Guavus Inc., a San Mateo, Calif.-based big data analytics provider, secured $30 m in funding.

The company intends to use the funds to bolster its presence and offerings for Communications Services Provider (CSP), Cable & Media customers world-wide and accelerate its expansion into the industrial Internet of Things (IoT) market where sensor-generated streaming data is bringing innovation to industries such as Logistics, Mining, Oil & Gas, Smart Cities, and Retail, with the ability to provide real time insights for predictive maintenance, track and trace, asset management and optimization.
Led by Anukool Lakhina, founder and CEO, Guavus provides an operational intelligence platform that delivers a real-time view across business operations. The Guavus Reflex® operational intelligence platform correlates and analyzes massive petabytes of streaming and stored business, operational and sensor data from multiple, disparate source systems in real-time. The resulting live operational analytics are fed into a new generation of analytically powered big data applications to address specific business problems for network, marketing, customer care, security and the Internet of Things.
