LawnStarter, an Austin, TX–based on-demand lawn care platform, raised $6m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Binary Capital.
The company, which had raised $1m in seed funding, intends to use the capital to expand operations and hire new people.
Led by co-founder and CEO Steven Corcoran, LawnStarter allows homeowners to schedule lawn mowing, fertilization, bush trimming and other specialty services from vetted, local lawn service providers.
The company currently operates in the Washington DC Metro Area, Austin and Orlando with plans to expand in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and San Diego, and Kansas City in the coming months.
