Sequent Software, a Sunnyvale, CA-based provider of a SaaS-based digital issuance and wallet platform, closed a new round of funding.
The amount of the round and the backers were not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to expand into global markets.
Founded only five years ago, provides banks, payment processors, OEMs and mobile operators with a platform to deploy their own, branded, mobile payment, loyalty, access control and transit solutions.
To date, the company has deployed commercial mobile payment systems for major global banks and mobile phone operators on four continents.
It also provides an open wallet platform with APIs for developers to add NFC payment functionality to existing mobile apps.
