Tesora (formerly known as Parelastic), a Cambridge, Mass.-company building a business around Trove, an open-source database for the OpenStack crowd, raised $4.5m in funding.
Backers included Rho Canada Ventures and existing backers General Catalyst, CommonAngels, Point Judith Capital and other angel investors.
Led by Ken Rugg, founder and CEO, Tesora provides a Database as a Service (DBaaS) platform, an enterprise-class OpenStack Trove that lets administrators and DevOps use a common infrastructure to manage multiple databases and common administrative tasks like provisioning, configuration, and tuning in a unified way.
The company has raised $13.2m in total funding.
