Zesty, a San Francisco, CA-based food boking and delivery service, raised a $17M Series A funding.
The round was led by Index Ventures, with participation from Founders Fund and existing investor Forerunner Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to take the service to many other markets outside San Francisco and more than double its current team of 30 over the next 12 months.
Founded in 2013 by David Langer and Chris Hollindale, Zesty delivers fresh meals from local restaurants. For every dish, often cooked in a healthier way or created off-menu, exclusively for Zesty, nutrition facts are provided. The company, which is backed by Y Combinator, serves workers at companies like Slack, Instacart, etc.
It is hiring.
