Api.ai, a Palo Alto, CA-based developer of AI and natural language platform that allows developers to build intelligent speech interfaces for apps, devices, and web, raised $3m in funding.
The round was led by SAIC Capital with participation from existing investors Intel Capital, Alpine Technology Fund, and Motorola Solutions Venture Capital.
The company will use the funds to continue to build the platform.
Led by Ilya Gelfenbeyn – CEO, and Artem Goncharuk – CTO, Api.ai provides developers and companies with advanced tools to build voice interfaces for apps and hardware device.
The Api.ai platform lets developers integrate intelligent voice command systems into their products to create consumer-friendly voice-enabled user interfaces. Api.ai is also the company behind Assistant, a conversational assistant app created in 2010 that now has more than 20 million users and is the highest rated assistant app available.
