Boston Consulting Group Acquires Minority Stake in TSG Consulting

bcg-logoGlobal management consulting firm Boston Consulting Group (BCG) acquired a minority stake in TSG Consulting, a Brisbane, Australia-based analytics firm specializing in simulation and optimization.

The size of the stake and the investment were not disclosed. In conjunction with the investment, Simon Miller, a BCG partner based in Sydney, will join TSG’s board as a nonexecutive director.

The two companies have also signed a strategic partnership that will aims to bring advanced modeling capabilities to a broader range of clients worldwide.

Formed in 1999 and led by Craig Stewart, managing director, TSG Consulting has capabilities which extend across dynamic simulation, optimization, scheduling, decision support, analytics and statistical modeling in mining and resources, health care, and transportation, as well as in telecommunications, manufacturing, and building materials.
TSG will continue to operate independently and serve its clients from its network of four offices in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Santiago but will increasingly work jointly with BCG teams to enhance the value that BCG and TSG can deliver together.
