Reelio, a NYC-based influencer marketing platform that connects global brands with digital stars, raised $5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by a global syndicate of investors adding to existing investors which include e.ventures and senior executives from Apple, Google, Goldman Sachs, BBDO and others.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to invest in technology platform, executive team and expansion into key markets.
Founded in 2012 by cofounders Pete Borum, Ben Williams, Mark Borum, and Daniel McKenzie, Reelio provides brands, agencies, and publishers with tools to build and manage branded content partnerships with popular influencers.
Its patent-pending matching algorithm connects brands with the right influencer partners, along with a CRM system to streamline partnerships from start to finish.
Customers include global brands such as Clinique, Unilever, and Visa.
