Tyfone Raises $6.6M in Series C Funding

Tyfone_logoTyfone, Inc., a Portland, Oregon-based provider of mobile-first digital security for financial and identity services, raised $6.6m in Series C funding.

The round was led by RPX Corp (NASDAQ: RPXC) with participation from In-Q-Tel, Steve Pawlowski and David Petraeus. In conjunction with the funding, Executive Director and Co-Founder of RPX Geoffrey T. Barker will join Tyfone’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the global implementation of its software and hardware platform as well as scale mobile banking and payment products.

Led by Said Siva G. Narendra Ph.D., CEO, Tyfone provides a platform for identity and transaction security in the banking, government, ecommerce, healthcare and critical infrastructure markets, as well as mobile banking and payment products for the credit union and other financial sectors.
Apart from its product and platform assets, the company has an invention portfolio including over 100 issued and pending patents, ranging from mobile security to secure commerce and identity management technologies.
Tyfone also has operations in Bangalore, India.
