Virtium, a Rancho Santa Margarita, CA-based provider of customized, ruggedized, and engineered industrial memory and embedded solid state drive products to the industrial market, received a growth investment from L Squared Capital Partners.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The investment will enable the company to further invest in its product portfolio, firmware development and application engineering teams.
Founded in 1997 by Phu Hoang and Chinh Nguyen, Virtium (Latin for integrity and excellence) is a solutions provider of industrial-grade memory and storage solutions for OEMs. It offers networking, communications, industrial, in-flight entertainment, transportation, gaming and mobile monitoring system applications.
The company has a team of over 30 engineers based in Vietnam that support the US team in developing hardware, firmware, and application-specific solutions.
