Yoogaia, an Espoo, Finland, London, UK and Hong Kong-based interactive yoga studio, closed a $3m seed funding round.
Backers included Nokia Growth Partners, Inventure, Sanoma Ventures and Point Nine Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to continue with its international expansion, hire talent and improve customer experience in mobile devices.
Founded in 2013 and led by CEO Mikko Petäjä, Yoogaia operates live, interactive online yoga, pilates, core and barre classes in real-time via webcam.
The studio has reached 50,000 users in over 50 countries since its launch. Earlier this year, the company opened its first studios in Helsinki, London and Hong Kong. In September, it will launch the interactive live yoga application for Apple mobile devices globally beginning to offer yoga classes in German.
