Califia Farms, a Los Angeles, CA-based natural beverage and food company, received a $50 minority investment.
The investor was Stripes Group, which has invested into the newly established Califia Farms LLC (majority owned by Sun Pacific). In conjunction with the funding, Stripes Group team members Dan Marriott and Karen Kenworthy will be welcomed onto Califia Farms’ Board of Directors.
The capital will be used to invest in deepening production and distribution capabilities, research and development, new hires, and sales and marketing.
Co-founded in 2010 by California-based farming group Sun Pacific and Greg Steltenpohl, Califia Farms is a natural beverage company that leverages a Bakersfield, California manufacturing plant that uses artisanal processes to create plant-based beverages. The company has also launched new categories including Almondmilk Coffee Creamers and Agua Frescas, as well as added flavors to its existing product lines such as Vanilla Coconut Almondmilk Horchata and Pumpkin Spice Latte.
