TransGlobal Payment Solutions, a St Helens and London, UK-based provider of online foreign exchange services, has been acquired by outsourcing company Equiniti.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Equiniti is a provider of technology and solutions to brands and public sector organizations in the UK. It has worked in partnership with TransGlobal since the launch of Equiniti International Payments in 2011, and so the software is already fully integrated within existing operations.
Led by Neil Kinnon, Transglobal provides PayFac, a proprietary cloud based foreign exchange and payment platform servicing a global portfolio of corporate clients.
Enterprise Ventures, which first backed TransGlobal at its launch in 2007, investing via the Coalfields Growth Fund, and followed up with a second round of funding in 2010, and Advanced Fund Managers exited TransGlobal in conjunction with the deal.
