Waylens Raises $2.2M in Funding

waylensWaylens, a Boston, MA-based automotive camera system, raised $2.2m in funding.

Investors included IDG Capital Partners and E14 Fund.

The startup has allocated the funds to launch its system for enhancing the driving experience.

Co-founded by Chief Technology Officer Dawei Shen and Chief Creative Officer Phil Salesses, Waylens is a startup focused on automotive technology, including an intelligent camera system capable of sensing its environment and merging data with video to create visual experiences.
The first product will be a score-keeping camera making it easier to share driving experiences.

Waylens will fully launch and open pre-orders for the product on Kickstarter in October 2015.
