Zscaler, Inc., a San Jose, CA-based Internet security company, closed a $25m continuation of its Series D round of funding.
Google Capital provided the additional funding which brought total Series D funding to $110m.
The company intends to use the funds to bolster global expansion, as well as accelerate the growth of the technology and customer base.
Led by Jay Chaudhry, CEO, Zscaler is a multi-tenant, cloud-based Internet security platform built to protect the enterprise and to deliver security at scale in real-time. It delivers unified, carrier-grade Internet security, advanced persistent threat (APT) protection, data loss prevention, SSL decryption, traffic shaping, policy management and threat intelligence with no need for on-premise hardware, appliances or software.
The solution is used by thousands of enterprises and government organizations around the world to protect their employees. According to a note, Zscaler secures more than 15 million users, processes more than 15 billion Internet requests, and stops more than 100 million cyber-threats every day.
