Alpaca, a San Mateo, CA-based deep-learning startup enabling AI technology to automate professional human tasks, closed a $1m seed funding.
Backers included:
– Innovative Venture Fund (Co-GP by SMBC Venture Capital and NEC Capital Solution)
– Archetype Ventures (Leading early stage VC firm in Japan)
– Shinji Kimura (Japanese serial entrepreneur and angel investor), and
– BIP Systems (Tokyo-based system integration company).
Led by co-founder and CEO Yoshi Yokokawa, Alpaca is a Deep-Learning startup that enables AI technology to automate professional human tasks. The company, which provides Labellio, a deep-learning SaaS platform that allows people to label images and create their own deep-learning intelligence, has just launched the private beta of its Deep-Learning trading platform, Capitalico, that lets people build trading algorithms with visually from historical chart.
Capitalico, which is now accepting signups to the waiting list for the early access to the service, is scheduled to be available public as beta beginning of next year.
