Aquto, a Boston, MA-based provider of a sponsored data monetization platform, closed an $8m Series B funding.
The round was led by Iris Capital with participation from STC Ventures and existing investors Matrix Partners and Northbridge Venture Partners.
The company, which has raised over $16 million to date, plans to use the funding to expand its global presence.
Led by Susie Riley, CEO, Aquto provides sponsored data and data rewards with tier one operator deployments in the US, Europe and Asia. Founded in 2012, the company provides app developers, advertisers and marketers with a solution to engage with users over mobile through zero rated content/apps and data rewards, and operators with a platform to monetize their data and network assets.
