DataVisor, a Mountain View, CA-based provider of a Big Data analytics platform for Internet security, secured $14.5m in Series A funding.
The round was led by GSR and New Enterprise Associates.
The company intends to use the funds to grow its lobal presence and expand its engineering, sales and marketing teams.
Founded in December 2013 by Yinglian Xie, CEO, and Fang Yu, CTO, DataVisor provides software which features a security analytics engine that operates within a big data platform to analyze billions of events per hour and automatically discover unknown malicious campaigns, without labels or training data.
The software is already in production, serving some of the largest Internet properties in the world, including Yelp and Momo and other online services in industries including social, financial, gaming, e-commerce and more.
