Klook Raises US$5M in Series A Funding Round

klookKlook, a Hong Kong-based travel startup, raised US$5M in Series A funding round.

Backers included Matrix Partners, China Growth Capital and Francis Leung.

The company intends to use the funds to scale the team, to set up an office in Singapore, to increase the portfolio of destinations and activities, to enhance the technology, and to broaden marketing efforts.

Led by Eric Gnock Fah, Klook is a platform for booking travel experiences online and on mobile. Founded in 2014, the platform features operates over 1,200 activities in 24 destinations.
The company currently has a team of approx. 40 working in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Taipei.
