Playlab, a Hong Kong-based mobile gaming company, raised $5m in Series B funding.
Monk’s Hill Ventures made the investment.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations across the region.
Led by Jakob Lykkegaard Pedersen, co-Founder and CEO, Playlab is a developer of casual games with 25 million downloads. Founded in January 2012 in Bangkok and now held out of Hong Kong, the comapny is the producer of titles including Juice Cubes, Jungle Cubes, and co-developed Ranch Run. Completely free-to-play, these games are available on mobile devices via Apple Store, Google Play, Amazon or Facebook.
Playlab also has studios in Thailand and the Philippines with Singapore distribution.
