RainKing Solutions, a Bethesda, MD-basedĀ provider of sales data on more than 500,000 tech, marketing and finance professionals in North America and Europe, raised $67m in venture capital funding.
Growth equity firm Spectrum Equity made the investment. In conjunction with the transaction, Spectrum Principals Mike Farrell and Jeff Haywood, and Chris Mitchell, a managing director, have joined RainKingās board.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to provide its service to existing customers, bolster its database in North America, Europe and globally through a new G2000 offering, and make investments across the organization.
Led by newly appointed CEO John Stanfill, RainKing Solutions provides sales intelligence on nearly 50,000 mid- to large-size organizations in North America and Europe, as well as detailed information about the decision makers working at each of these organizations. The company’s software allows customers to perform detailed analysis across this dataset to discover the best prospects and then target the right decision makers at every organization.
RainKing’s research team also uncovers more than 1,200 new, actionable spending initiatives ā called InsideScoopsā¢ ā which are published to customers every business day.
Customers can access RainKing through a SaaS application, and can integrate data and intelligence with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Marketo, Eloqua and other platforms.
