Solinea, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of open infrastructure solutions for deployment and adoption of production clouds, closed a US$4m Series A funding.
The round was led by Translink Capital with participation from angel investors. The equity investment also includes a strategic partnership with Tokyo, Japan-based ITOCHU Techno-Solutions.
Led by Francesco Paola, CEO, and Ken Pepple, CTO, Solinea accelerates adoption of open cloud infrastructure through professional services, training offerings and software platforms. The company intends to use the funds to expand its service delivery capabilities and engineering and product management teams as it works toward a Q1 2016 launch of a new product based on the Goldstone project that it open sourced in May of this year and designed to solve specific problems that enterprises face in the operations of open infrastructure clouds.
