BookDoc Establishes Advisory Group

BookDoc, a Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-based online healthcare platform, established its Advisory Group.

The founding members of the group are:
– Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. M. Jegathesan, the former Deputy Director-General of Health Malaysia, who is also the Pro-Chancellor of University Science Malaysia;
– Major General Dato’ Pahlawan Dr Mohanadas Ramasamy (Rtd), former Director General of Health Services, Malaysian Armed Forces & Deputy Chairman, Board of Governors of the Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences;
– Datuk Professor Dr Fawzia Dato’ Abdullah, the former Senior Director of Dental Health Division, Ministry of Health and is currently the Foundation Dean, Faculty of Dentistry of SEGI University & College;
– Dato’ Professor Dr Mrs ST Kew, Dean of School of Medicine at International Medical University and previously Master of the Academy of Medicine Malaysia and
– Dr Milton Lum, a member of the Council of University of Tunku Abdul Rahman, member of the Malaysian Medical Council.

The group will advise BookDoc on strategic areas related to contents, medical ethics, prevailing and forthcoming regulatory matters. In addition, they will provide insights, suggestions and feedback on issues of interests to the public and medical communities in order to enable BookDoc to continue to add value to the communities it serves.

Founded by Dato’ Chevy Beh – former Managing Director of BP Healthcare Group, and Joel Neoh – founder of Groupon Malaysia and former CEO of Asia Pacific for Groupon, BookDoc provides a healthcare online platform that connects patients and healthcare professionals, bringing access, resource optimization, and informed choices.
The company is backed by a diverse group of investors including Danny Yeung, Datuk Yvonne Chia, Kenny Thing, Dato’ Sharil Tarmizi, Dato’ Dr Maimunah, Dato’ Syed Budriz Putra and Lee Mean Yeit.
