Deporvillage, a Spanish ecommerce startup focused on sports apparel, closed a €3.7m venture capital funding round.
Backers included la Nevera Roja, Ad4Ventures (Mediaset), Cabiedes & Partners, Italian vc firm Programma 101 (which has just committed €500k) and business angels.
The company will use the funds to consolidate in Spain and expand operations in South Europe, with a particular focus on Italy.
Created in 2010 by Xavier Pladellorens (CEO) and Angel Corcuera (COO), Deporvillage operates an ecommerce platform dedicated to apparel for cycling, running, swimming and outdoor activities.
The company has a forecast turnover of over €10m in 2015, a team of 30 persone, 350 orders a day on average and 1m monthly visits.
