FilmRise, a Brooklyn-based film and TV distributor, raised $25m in funding.
New York-based Harlan Capital Partners LLC made the investment.
The company will use the proceeds to finance the acquisition and licensing of film and TV titles for all distribution channels, with a focus on web, mobile and emerging digital platforms.
Founded by Danny Fisher, Jack Fisher and Alan Klingenstein, FilmRise is a film and TV distribution company with over 6,000 titles in a wide range of genres. The company’s recent film acquisitions and releases include “Janis: Little Girl Blue”, “Going Clear,” the “Toxic Avenger” series, the documentary “Back in Time”, “Steve McQueen: The Man & Le Mans,” and “Hank and Asha.” Television titles include “Years of Living Dangerously,” and “Forensic Files.”
