FunkSac, a Denver, Colorado-based cannabis packaging enterprise specializing in odor-barrier and child-resistant technology, received financing from Snoop Dogg’s Casa Verde Capital.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to expand into new markets, further develop its existing odor-free and child-resistant technologies, as well as spread awareness of key safety measures and responsible use.
Created in 2013 and led by Garett Fortune, CEO, FunkSac is committed to providing compliant packaging solutions for the legal cannabis industry, both medical and recreational markets.
The company, which has manufacturing throughout the state of Ohio, has also created a partnership with Snoop Dogg as a brand ambassador for programs promoting safety and security across FunkSac products. Snoop Dogg will work closely with FunkSac on co-branded and co-developed products for MERRY JANE, a new media platform at the crossroads of pop culture, business, politics, health, and the new generation of normalized, sophisticated cannabis culture for all.
