Fly Labs, a NYC-based a maker of editing video apps, has been acquired by Google (GOOG).
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Fly Labs has made such video editing apps as Clips, Fly, Tempo and Crop on the Fly, which have been downloaded more than 20 million times in over 150 different countries.
The company will join Google in Mountain View, California and the company’s technology will be integrated into Google Photos.
During the transition period, all Fly Labs apps will be completely free with no in-app purchases. For another 3 months, the apps will be available on the App Store with no updates to be submitted.
Later, people will be able to use them but they will no longer be available for download.
